Many have asked us about the possibility of an open missions trip, where people from all across North America can join us, experience one of the areas we serve in, and participate in the work we do in that area. As a result, we’re excited to announce an open missions trip June 11-18 to Rio Dulce.
In Rio Dulce we’ll be working on finishing the two first floor units of our new missions base. The work will include carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electric work and painting. Additionally, we’ll visit the village of Castullo, spend time together in devotions, and prayer for the area, and you will get a chance to learn more about Michael and Rocky’s story, and the vision God has put in their hearts for this area of Guatemala.
We’re able to manage a group of 20 individuals. The trip is on a first come first serve basis, so sign up sooner rather than later. As this trip is geared towards construction, and not direct ministry to the local villages we serve in, we do reserve the right to prioritize people who’s experience match the work requirements.
General Requirements of Participants
Please prayerfully consider our Code of Conduct https://fiaministries.com/get-involved/code-of-conduct/. We expect each team member to comply with these guidelines.
The minimum age of participants is 16, unless accompanied by a parent. If under 18 you must receive written permission from your parent/guardian, and a written recommendation from your pastor.

June 14 – Working on the missions base
June 15 – Working on the missions base
June 16 – Excursion
June 17 – Travel to Guatemala City
June 18 – Departure from Guatemala City
Cost
$850 per person. Price includes lodging, food, transportation, material expenses, and one-day excursion. Everyone is responsible for their own flights to and from Guatemala.

Once your application has been reviewed and approved we’ll contact you to with additional information regarding trip payment, your flight itinerary, a missions trip handbook, packing list, etc.

Please do not book your flight until your application has been approved. Expect 7-10 days for application processing.
